About Imara Michelle Charles, PhD

And then there is Imara Michelle Charles — a PhD scientist, biopharma executive, and digital transformation leader who has spent 25 years inside the industry's most complex organizations, building the strategies, systems, and teams that move drugs from bench to bedside.
Her career spans the full biopharma value chain — from early development and CMC strategy through commercial launch, global operations, and enterprise-scale digital transformation. Most recently serving as Chief of Staff to the EVP of Global Product Development & Supply and Head of Digital Transformation at one of the world's leading biopharmaceutical companies, she has operated at the intersection of science, strategy, and scale for an 11,000-person global organization.
Her track record is defined not by advice given, but by outcomes delivered. She has built enterprise AI governance frameworks in GxP-regulated environments, launched Digital & Data Operations Centers of Excellence, deployed GenAI and agentic AI across supply chain capabilities, and led integration of a $74B acquisition — one of the largest in biopharma history.
